Failure To Thrive?
I want to thank all of you MEDIUM writing folk especially who have walked along with me on this Lenten Journey. Just 17 days until Spring when we celebrate the Equinox and 28 days until Easter and my devotion to write you every single day.
There has been a lot of talk about sex lately, not sure why, rising desire like sap rising things thawing out and you feeling centered in the body at least in this Northern Hemisphere. Some people actually give up sex for Lent. Some people can’t give up what they dont have or get or something that they want really badly and think if they didn’t want it, it would bring them closer to the God they understand or maybe the God small and big G that they were raised with.
I used to teach Bible Study. I still do… but since I am back in school I have had a bit of a hiatus in the rotation. We were a rather rag tag group that gave ourselves room to ask hard questions or to think about procreation as just something along the sacred spectrum. We didn’t delve too much in to the embryo issue, but we did talk and listen to one another around the feelings that came up around shame, and guilt and pleasure and loneliness …. some people spoke about what happen when they were small and then reading the Bible and listening to one another and making room for conversation. Some just had no words.
