My birthday celebrations have been more fabulous with each passing year. My seventy first year promises to be the best yet as I will celebrate with all of you our Jubilee 50th reunion. It will be the first reunion I have ever attended. I am truly looking forward to it. Perhaps it is the awe and wonder or just surprise I am still here as a lifelong learner. I am also surprised as to how much preparation and reflection has gone into the planning of this Gathering.
I have learned so much about myself and the College that I can be proud of while I have also been put on notice to NEVER take the sort of education I have received for granted. Last year, I got to visit the archives and museum at Hampton University on a bit of class field trip.
