Tuesdays are a big day, today is the presidential primary in my state. When I lived on the West Coast in Southern California, Tuesdays could only mean one thing, TACOS! Today I shall do both!

I am not sure what kind of taco I shall have, whether I will go out and buy one from a stand, a truck, a restaurant, carry out or bring home to eat it.. or maybe I will make my on, use hard shells, soft shells, make my own tortillas, corn, flour, …. I have a new recipe with almond flour, grain free… not really sure, I am undecided but not uncommittted. I will vote and I shall have tacos.

I want to encourage you to vote not as a civic duty, but to remind you without a doubt that I believe that what one person does or says really does matter. I have been collecting little quotes to remind myself of that and I also am reminded by folks like John Lewis and others who act in very radical ways to follow their passion that they are not alone, they didnt invent the wheel and that they are in a long line of ancestors who have gone before and have done what they have done and have faced harrowing dilemmas of choice and ACTION and move with the ambiguity of not knowing if it matters, but they do it anyway…

Among my compulsion to watch british murder mysteries, I am also a fan of Henry Louis Gates PBS program Finding YOUR ROOTS. One of my favorite episodes right up there…
