Love is truly seeing someone. Love is the opposite of erasure. Love is honoring all of the emotions a person is capable of feeling, both the wonderful and horrible. Love is solidarity, being present through everything that makes us fully human. I’m so grateful to be seen in this way, even if I was trying my best to hide my emotions for the sake of Valentine’s Day.
