A Book Review: A Reader for these Times…
Yesterday, it was Election Day and though I had some momentary angst about the outcomes and how I might indeed spend the day and do my part for the cause. I realized the best use of my time was to do what I love and to be who I am.
I love to read. so, it’s a no brainer that spending the day reading and writing if I could garner the strength. Though MSNBC and music of all genres played as background noise, what I best enjoyed was opening a new book and finding a wonderful surprise. I have forgotten the term that says, you open a book and whatever page it falls on is exactly what is needed at that time. Well, if you think of the term, let me know back in the chat, because that is exactly what happened. I have a lot of fear as a writer. I also be afraid of being found out, not being fully prepared and justifying what I am good at is not as good as what someone else is doing.
Glaude is an intellectual of the finest sort, and while not old enough to be my son, he is one generation removed from writing and being the post-apocalyptic mentor, I just adore.
